Erke Green Academy

The prior architectural approach has been the conservation of the existing building for the green building criteria.

The project is the renovation of a four storey building that has a very controversial architectural value, built in 1980’s, with a contemporary architectural understanding that will create awareness and achieve all green building certificates with the highest level as a headquarter for a sustainable buildings advisor company. Based on this, the main design criterion has been to do the necessary interventions to make the building healthier and to cover it with a monolith zinc cladding shell to have a modern look and obtain a radical architectural block where it is managed to conserve 60 percent of the existing building itself. In this project, it is aimed to give a new identity to one of the many unhealthy and inefficient buildings in the city, with a radical design and the highest green building requirements LEED Platinum and BREEAM Excellent applied.
